Accountant

*Overview:* The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Controller and CFO in the overall financial administration of the facility, including general accounting, accounts payable, data processing, and financial reporting for the facility in accordance with all facility and corporate policies and procedures.
This position ensures that the internal controls are adequate to safeguard the facility’s assets and that the accounting systems are sufficient to generate accurate and timely financial reporting.
*Education: * * Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
*Experience: * * A minimum of three (3) years of professional finance experience, with experience in multiple accounting and finance functions in a health care setting preferred.
*Additional Requirements: * * Thorough knowledge of computers, with experience utilizing health-care based computer systems and commonly accepted business software applications programs, particularly Microsoft Excel.
* IBM AS/400 computer system experience preferred.
