About the work:
We are seeking an analytical, curious, and organized staff accountant who is excited about driving and scaling MD²’s growth trajectory.
As part of a highly skilled finance and accounting team in our Bellevue HQ office, you will contribute to an agile, supportive, customer-centric team whose goal is to provide services to our physician partners on a timely and accurate basis.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a clear understanding of US GAAP, have experience with financial statement analysis, financial reporting, full cycle accounting, payroll, and the desire to work in a collaborative and fun environment.
Responsibilities:
· Performs full-cycle accounts payable and receivable as well as bi-monthly payroll, annual personal property tax affidavits and annual 1099 reporting.
· Performs Treasury responsibilities - ACH and transfer creation and review.
· Performs the monthly accounting close including preparing journal entries, analyzes and explains fluctuations and variances, and provides meaningful financial reporting to management.
· Performs month-end, quarterly, and annual closing activities and financial reporting duties, including accruals, adjustments, reconciliations, variance explanations and building documentation to support accounting conclusions.
With time in the role, performs peer work review.
· Guides business process and internal control procedures.
· Ensures effective collaboration and influence across multiple site locations with partner teams and stakeholders.
· Assists in establishing and implementing new or modified systems, accounting methods and procedures pertaining to area of responsibility.
· Provides data in support of projects and initiatives.
To succeed in the role, you’ll need:
· 5+ years of accounting experience in a high-growth company.
· Strong financial acumen and knowledge of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and US GAAP required.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, familiarity with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite a plus.
· Exceptional communication skills to scale processes in a fast-paced environment and effectively convey deliverables to customer-facing teams.
· Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize a diverse workload.
