We are on the hunt for a proactive, ambitious, and team-oriented Payroll Administrator who is eager to make a significant impact within our growing firm.
This role will be processing biweekly multi-state payroll.

The Payroll Administrator must be comfortable learning new software and demonstrating initiative in figuring things out.
As this role involves supporting and handling overflow from other areas of the accounting department, a strong desire to be part of a team and assist others is essential.

Some essential job functions are but not limited to: Computes and disburses wages and salaries, deductions, federal and multi-state tax and other withholdings.
Posts payroll data and prepares routine reports and/or payments to government agencies, and other benefit vendors.
Calculates and processes special checks, reviews, edits and makes corrections and adjustments as needed.
Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Compiles, prepares and maintains payroll reports and statistics.
Maintains communication with our third-party payroll tax filing provider to ensure employee and payroll data are compliant, including but not limited to payroll tax rate updates, uploading notices received, and processing corrections recommended by them.
Monitor and maintain time tracking and absences of hourly employees for smooth transition for payroll.
Train new hourly employees on time tracking and absence entry and policies.
Contribute to the preparation of financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes.
Manage and ensure the accuracy of certain general ledger accounts, including proper accruals and balance sheet reconciliations of payroll accounts are timely.
Maintain the fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules in Workday and CS Fixed Assets for tax purposes, including providing monthly detail to the Assistant Controller regarding all disposals whether sale, donation, or abandonment; register all new fixed assets, and create and enter all related entries necessary at month end in the General Ledger.
Coordinate and participate in annual fixed asset inventory Education: Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field or a combination of education and directly related work experience.
(Bachelor's degree and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred) Experience: 5+ years of progressively more responsible assignments in payroll processing in a multi-state environment and general ledger accounting, preferably with a professional services firm.
Strong familiarity with Workday is a strong preference.
Pay Rate Range: $32.
58 per hour minimum to $48.
