*National Asian Pacific Center on Aging (NAPCA),* a national non-profit that preserves and promotes the dignity, well-being, and quality of life of Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders (AAPI), and diverse communities is seeking an experienced *Accountant.
*This position will prepare and maintain financial records to tracks the organizations’ assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities.
The office is in Seattle, WA and this position will report directly to the Controller.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES:*
* Prepares monthly financial reports
* Maintains the general ledger
* Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books
* Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
* Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, and other financial accounts
* Updates budgeting & forecasting tools with payroll and financial statement information
* Prepares audit materials and contributes to audit process
* Assists in budgeting cycle
* Provides support and/or backup as needed
* Maintains current knowledge of related audit, federal regulations, and state laws
* Perform other related duties as assigned
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
Comparable combinations of related majors, certifications, and years of experience also considered.
* Non-profit, grants experience highly desired.
* Strong accounting knowledge
* Detail oriented and perceptive
* Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
* Ability to prioritize and be self-directed to meet strict deadlines.
* Skill with Microsoft Office Excel as well as Outlook, Word, and Teams.
* Experience working with MIP Fund Accounting preferred.
* Ability to maintain effective interdepartmental communications and relationships.
* Ability to problem-solve, research, and analyze.
