Join us! Overview We are seeking a Project Billing Specialist to join our Accounting Team.
The project billing specialist is responsible for maintaining an accurate account of all projects and billings in the accounting system.
This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to participate and communicate productively in a team environment.
This is a non-exempt position and reports to the Controller.
It is based out of our Redmond, WA headquarters and is a fully in-office role.
Our office is open from 6am-5pm; team members have flexibility with their daily work schedule, based on their needs and the needs of their team and the work.
Duties and Responsibilities As our Project Billing Specialist, you will set up jobs, budgets, and budget revisions in all applicable project tracking solutions.
You’ll be the sending pre-lien notices as required and be the point of contact coordinating with the operations teams related to billings for all applicable project types.
You’ll request vendor releases and coordinator job cost transfers and reclasses.
Additionally, the Project Billing specialist will provide all substantiation for projects, support the GL Specialist in collections and coordinate directly with customers on certain accounts, maintain accounting related paperwork and appropriate job files, participate in cross-training and maintain department confidentiality.
Education and Experience Qualifications We are seeking someone with a minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, project accounting, or in a similar role with a strong preference for those with a construction industry background.
Additional qualifications needed include: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products Strong understanding of job cost accounting Experience working with Spectrum/Viewpoint accounting software is a plus Skills and Abilities Success in this role requires stringent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a proactive approach.
You’ll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
