Chow Foods, a well-established company with 5 neighborhood restaurants in Seatle and Tacoma, is seeking a Controller to work at the company’s Westlake home office.
The Controller reports directly to the Owner, managing the company’s accounng and financial funcons along with a touch of HR and
State and Local Tax compliance.

The right candidate will be:
* One with a bachelor’s degree in accounng or related field, or the work experience equivalent
* A General Ledger accounng expert
* A Microso Office whiz (especially Excel)
* Quick to learn new soware and technology
* Excellent at communicang verbally and in wring
* Detail oriented and self-driven
* Happy working autonomously and holding themselves accountable
* Someone who likes to jump in and help in other areas of the business when they have relevant skills and/or interest
* Familiar with the restaurant business and industry
Key job funcons include:
* Period-end close
* Journal entries, including inter-company transacons
* Period cash and balance sheet reconciliaon
* Produce period financial statements
* Prepare and file monthly WA State B&O/Sales Tax and quarterly City B&O Tax returns
* Submit payroll and administraon of the 401k plan for home office (staff>10)
* Supervise AP, Payroll and Benefits administraon for the restaurants
* Cash management and online banking
* Work closely with Owner, Director of Operaons, and Execuve Chef; provide research and feedback as part of the leadership team
* Gather and submit all financial and other informaon needed to CPAs for tax prep annually
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.
