*FINANCE & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION* *Job Description* Entre Hermanos is seeking a Finance & Operations Director.
This Full-time exempt position requires an experienced Finance leader ready to optimize Entre Hermanos’ financial and operations management.
The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative operations of the organization including budget management, financial reporting, monitoring cash flow, developing and maintaining best practices and internal controls for company finances and operations, and computer and technical systems management.
The Director of Finance and Operations reports to the Executive Director and works closely with department leaders.

_*Entre Hermanos’ mission is to promote the health and well-being of the Latino/Latina/Latinx Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and questioning community in a culturally appropriate environment through disease prevention, education, support services, advocacy, and community building.
*_ *RESPONSIBILITIES:* · In collaboration with Executive Director, oversee financial operations including execution of financial strategies and processes including annual operating budget, annual audits, and 990 tax preparation.
· Serve on the Senior Leadership Team guiding management and oversight for office operations, policy development and implementation.
· Coordinate financial functions, including banking, investments and investment strategies, and preparation of monthly financial reports in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
· Manage contract commitments and expenditures to ensure consistency with budgeting.
· Manage and maintain employee policies and procedures handbook.
· Oversee payroll and employee benefits, including accrued vacation, health plan, insurance, retirement funding, health savings account, transportation benefits, and other benefits as appropriate.
· Oversee employee recruitment and onboarding within finance and operations team.
· Provide support to the Executive Director for overall operations.
· Provide support to the organization’s Board of Directors, including support to the Finance Committee and Board Treasurer, as well as support for full board and committee meetings.
· Manage the organization’s accounting procedures.
· Oversee management and maintenance of office space, equipment, computer technology, inventory and supplies.
· Ensure compliance with all required agencies and groups.
· Manage search for new office space.
· Supervise finance and operations staff, including full-time, part-time and contract staff.
*Essential skills and experience include the following:* · Management experience supervising staff, managing budgets, and effectively handling multiple priorities and projects · A minimum of five years relevant experience · Excellent communication skills, both internal to the organization and with external partners, in writing and verbally · Proven ability to build and nurture a diverse, respectful, and positive working environment and to coach supervisees, as well as peers · Demonstrated ability to work independently, keep organized in a fast-paced environment, manage simultaneous tasks, and adjust strategy to changing demands · Strong understanding of accounting and office operations and procedures, including payroll, bookkeeping, contract management, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and laws related to nonprofit corporations · Demonstrated ability to work with financial management, budgeting, and administrative systems, annual audits, Form 990 processes, and other nonprofit financial processes and requirements · Demonstrated ability to work well with a diverse Board of Directors · Attention to detail · Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently and as part of a team · Relevant advanced credentials, including an MBA, CPA or commensurate experience · Center principles of equity, inclusion, and belonging in all work, embedding the values in program development and organizational practices and processes · Demonstrated commitment to diversity within the office and using a personal approach that values all individuals and respects differences regarding race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, and expression, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and socio-economic circumstance · Commitment to work collaboratively and respectfully toward resolving obstacles and conflict *PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS* * At least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5+ years of board nonprofit financial and operations management experience; * Able to set priorities and multi-task while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines; * Excellent communications skills, including negotiations and in light of staff adjustment to adhere to new policies and procedures; * Experience in working with and reporting to state, federal, local partners * Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of Entre Hermanos; * Ability to thrive as part of a team with diverse experience, expertise, skills and objectives; * Ability to stand firm on essential accounting and fiscal compliance and documentation needs; and * Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; knowledge of key accounting and reporting software * Bachelor’s degree; MBA/CPA or equivalent experience preferred.
*COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS* · Starting Range: $90,000.
00 - 110,000.
00 (Commensurate with experience) · Paid Medical Insurance, 100% of premiums paid for Entre Hermanos employees.
· Paid Dental Insurance, 100% of premiums paid for Entre Hermanos employees.
· 403(b) retirement account with up to a 4% employer match.

Entre Hermanos requires all employees be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine.
Employees are considered vaccinated two weeks after completing primary vaccination with a COVID-19 vaccine, with, if applicable, at least the minimum recommended interval between doses.
All new employees must inform Entre Hermanos of their vaccination status within three days of hire date and must be fully vaccinated no later than 45 days after hire date.
