Our team is seeking a talented and hard-working Accounts Receivable Specialist who offers comprehensive assistance to the entire accounting department.
This role takes on the primary responsibility for handling receivables and collections, both internally within the organization and in direct interactions with clients.
As a significant participant in the monthly closing process, this position plays a vital role in upholding the promptness and precision of the financial statements.
Pay is DOE: $30-$37/hr

Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Process client payments, miscellaneous cash receipts, and accounts receivable adjustments
Review and execute lien releases based on scheduled and received client payments
Produce accounts receivable aging reports
Accurately process write-off entries and maintain reporting
Bank reconciliations and outstanding item review
Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset, depreciation, and amortization schedules
Contribute to month-end financial close and reporting, including workbook preparation
Support project accountants, assisting with inquiries and monthly billing
Understand and apply fundamental accounting and finance concepts
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested
Support department initiatives and recommend improvements
Ensure accounting procedures are in compliance with GAAP
Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
3 to 5 years of accounting experience
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Exceptional communication and customer service, including the ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner tailored to intended audiences
Ability to work under deadlines and respond to changes in priorities
Technical aptitude, ability to adapt to new systems and maneuver between sources of information
Ability to work independently with initiative, setting priorities and completing projects
Excellent problem-solving skills
Adept in accounting software platforms
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience in architecture or engineering environment preferred
