*Essential Job Functions:* * Responsible for daily registration activities including but not limited to printing invoices, matching purchase orders as necessary, check on payments and forward cash receipt to accounting department, mailing invoices, filing permanent copies.
* Maintains and/or creates file or record keeping systems.
Sorts, labels, files and retrieves documents, or other materials.
* Responsible for cash application (i.
e.
cash, checks, credit cards), clearing A/R refunds, reversing NSF, various other clearings (i.
e.
credit memo, settlements, reapplication of funds), applying sales amendments, and applying A/R write-off for the Branch Office.
* Responsible for daily cash application to be processed on a timely basis for the Branch Office.
* Follow up and perform research on deductions taken by the customers on a timely basis.
* Assist in A/R problems and inquiries from customers, sales personnel and others (i.
e.
includes calling the customers, sales associates) for the branch office.
* Perform account reconciliation (i.
e.
for collection accounts, dispute, etc.
) * Maintains accurate customer files and update name changes, address changes and other customer information (i.
e.
license information) * Assist in printing and mailing out monthly or bi-monthly statements to the customers.
* Prepare necessary management reports (i.
e.
Monthly AR aging report, special report reflecting current status of customer accounts, etc.
) * Works closely with Corporate accounting department to ensure that all accounting matters are taken care of for the branch location.
* Other tasks as assigned.
*Knowledge/ Skills/ Ability: *The Account Receivable (A/R) Associate must have the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints; knowledge of accounts receivable; good interpersonal skills; knowledge in the use of Microsoft applications (i.
e.
Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint); skills in the operation and use of a calculator; skills in planning and organizing to prioritize various tasks; skills in oral and written communications; ability to work closely with others as part of a team; ability to be flexible, able to meet various deadlines; ability apply research, reconciling, investigating, and problem solving techniques; detail oriented; must be capable of handling multiple responsibilities concurrently; ability to recognize problems and errors, investigate and correct as needed; makes numerous computations each day and increasingly must be comfortable using computers to calculate and record data.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
