Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Lead is a lead role in the Finance Team that provides supervision, leadership, and guidance to the Accounting Technician team.
The Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable lead acts as a team lead, reviewing the work of others and supports the rest of the Finance team as it relates to accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, reconciliations, and internal/external reporting needs.
In this role, you will:
Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable process.
Perform account reconciliation, schedule preparation, and other duties to assist team during peak work periods if needed.
Audit team transactions to verify accuracy of summary transactions.
Assist the Lead Senior Accountant with monitoring of all company expenditures.
Prepare reports related to department goals for Lead Senior Accountant.
In collaboration with the Lead Senior Accountant, implement unit policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
Resolve customer complaints or answer customers' questions regarding policies and procedures.
Assist team members with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
Compile company, department and unit, procedures, and service standards for review with Lead Senior Accountant.
May direct day to day activities of, or act as mentor to, junior staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and ability to work with all department systems.
Knowledge of 1099 and IRD filing requirements
Able to direct the work of others and provide feedback to staff.
Demonstrates mentoring/Coaching/Leadership knowledge or skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft’s Office Suite including Excel, Access & PowerPoint
Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
No travel required, but this is an in-office position (Monday – Friday).
Occasional ability to work from home as mutually agreed upon with manager.
