We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Administrative Specialist to join our accounting team! As a Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing a variety of accounting items including the company's sales and use tax filings, inventory specialist reconiliation processes, cash applications, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, AP/AR, all cash applications along with filing tax and processing credit card applications.

Responsibilities:
AR/AP entry and processing.
Research and manager state sales and use tax filings and postings including paying state and federal taxes.
Manage cash applications.
Track commission sales and process payments via Excel spreadsheets.
Expense reports and credit card processing and administration.
Utilize reports to reconcile inventory on a regular basis using Excel and pivot tables.
Prepare and issue invoices, credit memos, and payment receipts to customers.
Review vendor invoices, match them with purchase orders and receipts, and process payments in accordance with company policies.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reporting and analysis.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:

in Accounting, Finance or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
A minimum of 3-6 years' experience working in accounting specialist/accounting administration roles.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Must know Excel and pivot table usage (V & H look ups).
Proficiency in using accounting software including Bill.
com.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.
Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.

Location: SODO area in Seattle, WA (NOTE: We are 3 blocks from a light rail station!)
Pay: $50,000 - $69,000 doe
