Accounting Manager

*Shipyard accounting Manager* This role is responsible for full cycle of accounting duties for a full-service shipyard will multiple locations.
*Primary Responsibilities* * Process complex payroll utilizing Paylocity service * Oversee processing of accounts payable * Review and interpret customer contracts and prepare billings * Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and prepare adjusting entries as needed * Prepare and submit business and payroll tax filings as needed * Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and workflow to improve efficiency while maintaining good internal control practices *Qualifications* * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or significant relevant maritime or construction accounting experience, including at least 3 years of general ledger responsibility * Job or project cost accounting experience * Technologically savvy with excellent Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Quickbooks Enterprise software, and third party payroll processing services *Personal Characteristics* * High degree of professionalism and integrity * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Consistently meets or exceeds deadlines/commitments * Communicates well in different forms and with people from different backgrounds * A positive upbeat personality * Self-starter with a high degree of problem-solving skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.
