CWD Group is looking for a senior-level General Ledger Accountant to join its Accounting Team!
*SUMMARY:*
Our General Ledger Accountant is responsible for reconciling all general ledger accounts and creating the monthly financial reports for our condominium associations.
This position requires the knowledge and specialized skills performing accrual accounting and fund basis accounting.
The position reports to the Director of Accounting and works closely with all internal departments: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Management and Association Managers.
Other specialized duties may include budget preparation assistance, multi-use building annual reconciliations, and other requested projects and reports.
Experience in association management accounting a plus.

*RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:*
* Ensure an accurate and timely month end close by preparing various journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaids, accruals, inter-company, fixed assets and various other accounts
* Review monthly general ledger report
* Reconcile Accounts Receivable/Payable to general ledger
* Reconcile all bank accounts
* Reconcile all funds to appropriate general ledgers
* Create and post journal entries
* Create a consolidated fund Balance Sheet and Revenue and Expense statement
* Provide support to association manager for all accounting related requests
* Interact with Association's Board of Directors as required
* Provide necessary and clear communication in interpreting associations' financial reports and supporting documents
* Ensure proper accounting policies and principles are followed in accordance with GAAP
* Assist in project implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department
* Maintain accurate records and files
* Assist with annual audit
* Other duties necessary for accurate Community Association records
*EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:*
* A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or comparable work experience in the field of Community Association accounting
*SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:*
* Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures -- specifically those related to accruals and fund accounting
* Proficient in relevant computer applications
* Proficient in data entry and management
* Must be organized and pay attention to detail and accuracy
* Good problem solving skills
* Clear communicator -- both in writing and verbally
