Description: Position Title: Staff Accountant Reports to: Senior Director of Finance Type: Full-Time.
Non-Exempt.
Pay rate: $33.
33/hour-$35.
00/hour Location: Seattle, WA & Hybrid Union Representation: Non-Union Role Schedule: Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm.
This role will be expected to be onsite 2-3 days per week, and offers Hybrid flexibility.
Crisis Connections provides a variety of telephone-based support services that are free and easily accessible to anyone in our community experiencing crisis.
Our service area includes King County and WA State.

Position Summary: The Accountant supports the Sr.
Director of Finance and the Accounting & Contracts Manager in providing an accurate and ongoing picture of the Crisis Connections’ overall financial condition to management, Accounts Receivable invoicing and payments, and Accounts Payable transactions and payments.
This is what you’ll be doing: Process vendor invoices and credit card charges, check account coding, and generate payments (checks, ACH, on-line).
Bank deposit entries and associated journal.
Bank and monthly account reconciliations as assigned.
Provide training and oversight of depositing procedures to Support Services staff.
Balance sheet account reconciliations.
Assist with audit schedules.
Other accounting administrative duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Five years’ experience in an A/P, staff accountant or bookkeeper role.
Experience using Microsoft Excel required.
Experience with Sage Intacct or other Accounting Software required.
PREFERRED SKILLS 2 year degree preferred.
Experience with AP automation integration a plus.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Requirements: Computer Skills Assessment: Crisis Connections requires a basic Computer Skills assessment to measure computer literacy and skills.
The assessment is approximately 15 minutes in length, and timed.
HR will provide a link to complete the test after screening qualified candidates.
This assessment will be completed on the candidate's personal computer.
Upon request, candidates may take the assessment at one of our 2 office locations as an accommodation.

Microsoft Excel Assessment: This role requires prior Microsoft Excel experience.
We'll test your Microsoft Excel skills by sending you a timed Assessment link to ensure you meet our minimum proficiency requirements for the role.
