NuWest Group is seeking a skilled Payroll Clerk II for a full-time remote position.
The role would focus primarily with clients in the Travel Nursing Industry so experience in that area is a huge PLUS!
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and maintain weekly payroll spreadsheets.
Independently process payroll and resolve payroll related issues that occur.
Process payroll for 250+ contractors weekly
Ability to process multiple payrolls and timekeeping systems with limited resources.
Audit pay through applicable payroll systems and spreadsheets.
Process Over and Under payments independently and provide explanation to contractors.
Ability to calculate and process ACH’s, deductions and retro pay independently.
Process expense payments timely and effectively
Responsibility of emails, phone calls, and ticketing system
Respond to contractor pay discrepancies professionally.
Ability to de-escalate situations independently.
Adhere to the established SLA for ticketing expectations of 2 hours to acknowledge and 24 hours for resolution.
Ensure tickets are assigned the correct category.
Any additional duties as assigned by management.
COMPENSATION
$23-$27/hr.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate degree or higher preferred
2+ years of experience processing payroll
Previous invoicing/billing experience a plus
Experience processing payroll travel payroll
Experience in Multi-State payroll processing
Accounting background
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of HR & Payroll Laws preferably in multiple states
Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Payroll systems.
Knowledge of billing processes and procedures to troubleshoot discrepancies.
Ability to troubleshoot system issues.
Strong knowledge of Nuwest values, policies and procedures
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong Organizational skills are critical.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail are critical.
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and resolve problems.
Intermediate to Advanced skills with Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel
