*GENERAL DESCRIPTION:*
The Inventory Accounting Specialist ensures all finished product inventory is properly identified and readily accessible by handling all receiving from the plants into Northscope, receiving by warehouses, reconciliations, monthly inventory reconciliation, year-end recaps, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
This position is non-exempt from overtime (paid overtime) and reports to the Controller.
*RESPONSIBLITIES:*
* Reviews production files from plants for accuracy and upload into inventory management software.
* Compares production reports to shipping manifests and warehouse receiving to identify and correct any discrepancies.
* Tracks containers on shared spreadsheets.
* Performs thorough research and documentation of inventory discrepancies in order to identify root causes and provide solutions.
* Manages tasks associated with inventory, logistics and storage of product.
Works with third party warehouses to ensure product is stored and inventoried accurately.
Identifies ways to reduce expenses.
* Allocates product to stock transfers and sales orders.
* Serves as the primary customer service liaison with outside warehouses, including reconciliations, auditing, and approving invoices and submitting for payment.
Reviews inventory invoices for accuracy.
* Manages traceability audits, customer requested audits, and annual audits as required.
* Assists Quality Assurance and outside warehouses with product variances reports within the inventory management system.
* Reviews open sales orders to ensure they all have pricing and none are past their ship date.
* Controls all adjustments to inventory as necessary.
* Assists with tariff issues and rates.
* Other duties as assigned.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* 5+ years of experience within inventory management and logistics, preferably in the Alaska seafood industry.
* Experience with Northscope and GP Dynamics preferred.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
* Availability to work additional hours during peak periods.
* Ability to work well independently and with others.
* High degree of integrity and ethics.
Proven track record of upholding company policies, enforcing them fairly and consistently, and safeguarding confidential information.
* Ability to maintain professional composure in high stress work environment.
* Willingness and ability to work on site in the office.
* Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
* Reliable transportation and a reasonable commute to the Fremont area of Seattle and to Edmonds, as this position requires work to be performed in the office until fully trained (at which time the position can be a hybrid role with one day a week working from home).

Pay: $50,000.
