Position Purpose The US Accounting Director is responsible for managing all day-to-day functions and responsibilities for the US Accounting Team.
This includes being responsible for all areas related to general ledger preparation, financial reporting, month end close, financial audit, financial and accounting policy implementation, and training; and ad hoc projects as directed.
This position will actively support the FP&A team in their budget and forecast activities.
The US Accounting Director will manage the US Accounting Team which consists of General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
This position will report to the VP, Global Controller.
Essential Job Duties Manage all day-to-day functions withing the accounting department which includes General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll Drive process improvement to advance efficiencies within the department Support in the preparation and review of the US financial statements ensuring high level of accuracy and adherence to compliance standards Develop and maintain accounting standard operating procedures and ensuring team members are well trained and adhering to policy and procedures Manage US year end audit and any other financial audits as directed; working directly with internal and external auditors Stay ahead of future regulatory developments, oversee research of accounting standards and update policies and procedures accordingly Continually coaching and mentoring and US Accounting Team Provide accounting support and expertise in ERP integration projects Serves as liaison between accounting department and other cross functional teams within the organization Supports the VP, Global Controller with other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting CPA or MBA 6+ years experience in an accounting in corporate accounting-type roles within a multi-national, multi-currency organization; 2+ years in a management role Advanced Excel experience required Organized and focused on hitting deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication Proven ability to manage multiple projects, navigating and managing through ambiguity Strong leadership and cross disciplinary skills Strong analytical skills Preferred Qualifications Oracle NetSuite experience a plus Hyperion Financial Management experience a plus ERP implementation experience Private equity owned manufacturing company experience Merger and acquisition experience Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods of time Working on computer extended periods of time Salary Range This is a SALARY position with Elevate Outdoor Collective.
The pay range for this role is $130,000-$160,000 annually.
