Position summary:
The Accountant role has one primary goal: to facilitate accurate and efficient financial processes in the brewery.
The role is the key contact for our outsourced third-party accounting function, owns internal finance operations while continuously improving all the company's financial procedures and systems.

Reuben's Brews is a family brewery that opened in 2012.
We brew from the glass backwards: designing each beer with intention, unbound by constraints.
We know making the extra effort is worth it.
We are the most decorated brewery in Washington, have two brewhouses, two tasting rooms, and two private event spaces, and we distribute our beer predominantly in the Pacific Northwest.
In 2023 we brewed 27,000 BBLs.
The role:
This role is responsible for the following:
Financial close: contact for external accounting firm, project manage and facilitate close
Financial operations: AR, expenses, payroll processing, banking and AP management
Internal and customer pricing management: distributor sales forms, invoicing, system data integrity
Systems and internal controls (EKOS, Expensify, Bill, QBO, Payroll)
Administration and operations (including facilities management, third-party party accounts liaison)
Ad hoc projects including data analysis
The successful candidate will be an individual contributor and may work on projects assisting the brewery's senior leadership team working on the strategic direction of the business.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or a similar financial role
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.
g.
QuickBooks, Bill.
com, Expensify), as well as Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of payroll, accounts payable, and other finance operations best practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external customers
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Analytical mindset with a problem-solving orientation
High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
Experience in the beer or beverage industry or another fast-moving industry an advantage
Small or medium-sized high-growth company experience an advantage
EOS experience an advantage
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
Be available to work evenings and weekends as necessary
