King County Housing Authority (KCHA) is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant - Greenbridge to work in the Finance Department located in Tukwila, Washington.
We are currently recruiting for a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join the team in Tukwila, Washington.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES The Senior Accountant is an important member of the Finance team.
The position will be responsible for accounting for all finance related transactions associated to the Greenbridge project, participate in all financial planning activities of the Greenbridge project, and work closely with department leaders to provide consultive analysis and reporting.
They will also contribute to financial planning and reporting efforts as well as grant accounting and other key initiatives in support of KCHA’s mission.
Knowledge and experience in advanced accounting will be important as this individual will be responsible for: Providing full finance and accounting services for the Greenbridge Department.
Preparing journal entries.
Maintaining sales tracking sheet; determining Greenbridge Home sales amount allocation to MTW Loans and Net Disposition Proceeds; ensuring documentation is up to date for HUD audits.
Developing and reviewing Profit Participation Developer’s Certificates; ensuring accuracy and completeness for each house sold by builder.
Preparing monthly and quarterly sales reports.
Preparing the annual Greenbridge Department budget; projecting revenue and expenditures; performing mid-year adjustments as needed.
Tracking Greenbridge loans and restricted funds including HomeSight deferred loans, MTW Loan payments, COCC loans draws, and Net Disposition Proceeds restricted cash.
Coding all Greenbridge and Seola Garden invoices based on budget; ensuring that appropriate Greenbridge expenses are capitalized.
Analyzing department budget to actual variance; comparing the actual expenditures and revenue to budgeted amounts; working with team members to identify and explain any variances; reviewing and reclassing errors.
Facilitating grant management operations; ensuring proper forms and paperwork are submitted to King County and State of Washington for all grants.
Creating and maintaining allocation funds.
Carrying out complex, analytical projects that guide management decision making.
Assisting with the testing and implementation of upcoming financial software conversion.
Cross training with other Senior Accountants to provide back up when needed.
Other duties as assigned.

After initial onboarding, this role will have the opportunity to work remotely up to 60% in accordance with the KCHA's flexible work arrangements; however, remote work conditions will be reviewed on a regular basis based on business and program need.
Employees must reside in Washington State and have the ability to report to the Central Office in Tukwila as required based on business need.
Some local travel may be required to support KCHA business needs.
