If you’re seeking a career with an experienced accounting team, Kenmore is the place to pursue!*_ Our company is seeking a full time Accounts Receivable Specialist to perform a variety of job responsibilities primarily in the areas of accounts receivable and general ledger, to ensure the accuracy of transactions posted to the general ledger and meet the overall needs of the Accounting department.
The position reports to the VP of Finance.
Job Responsibilities & Responsibilities * On a daily basis, reconciles credit card deposits from payment processor (Windcave) to transactions from company’s reservation system (Zenith) and maintains daily batch report.
* Creates journal entries to record daily credit card activity from reservation system.
* Updates daily credit card totals and provides report to the President and VP of Finance.
* Audits daily till statement report from reservation system (Zenith) and follows-up with VP of Guest Experience and customer service agents regarding errors and questions.
* Creates journal entries for daily till statement activity.
* Processes customer checks via remote deposit and creates deposits.
* Enters customer credit card payments.
* Downloads Square transaction reports and creates sales invoices and payments for all locations.
* Processes over-the-counter transactions.
* Creates inventory quantity adjustments for gift shop sales and give-aways.
* Audits daily fuel sheets and creates invoices for on-account sales.
* Enters credit card/ACH/wire payments for charter customers in ERP (Pentagon) and charter (JetInsight) systems.
* Reconciles on a monthly basis, the JetInsight deferred revenue account via a general ledger transaction download and customer account balances.
* Monitors RMA’s and applies credits on customer accounts.
* Creates credits for employee payroll deductions and applies to sales invoices.
* Processes refunds for Zenith and JetInsight customers.
* Reviews accounts receivable aging report and follows up on past due invoices.
* Prepares and distributes monthly accounts receivable statements to customers.
* Downloads, reviews and distributes monthly statements for corporate and freight customers from reservation system (Zenith).
* Maintains manual accounts receivable spreadsheets for Zenith corporate and freight customers and reconciles to customer control report and general ledger account.
* Creates new customer accounts in ERP system.
* Maintains accurate e-mail addresses for customer contacts.
* Completes account applications and credit history requests.
* Participates in the annual physical inventory of aircraft parts.
* Performs research projects and other special projects as requested by Accounting team members and the VP of Finance.
* Performs other duties as requested to meet the overall needs of the Accounting department.
Qualifications and Requirements * High school diploma * Associates degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred * Three years of full-cycle Accounts Receivable work experience * General knowledge of accrual accounting principles, with the ability to apply such knowledge to Accounts Receivable transactions * Experience using a computerized Accounts Receivable systems (ERP system experience preferred) * At least intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel * Ability to analyze process flows and work with other employees to resolve problems * Excellent communication skills * Team worker and willingness to accept a variety of responsibilities * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage volume of work assigned As the leading employer in our industry in the Pacific Northwest, Kenmore Air is proud to offer a competitive total compensation package as well as a benefits program designed to support our employees and their families.
