” WHAT YOU'LL DO The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor are to direct, coordinate and control accounting activities in their areas of assigned responsibility.
These areas of responsibility may include some or all of the following: PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides leadership, coaching and development support to staff including performance reviews and training procedure documentation Oversees and/or performs month-end closing procedures; ensures the timely, accurate and complete processing of all assigned transactions Ensures that all reports, reviews and control procedures are executed timely Timely corrects any significant and/or systemic deviations, and formulate and implement preventive measures.
Completes monthly assigned account reconciliations and resolves outstanding issues Assists in monthly financial statement review to ensure timely month end close Contributes to fiscal year-end audit Safeguards company assets as assigned Develops, maintains and ensures compliance with assigned procedures Some evening or weekend work may be required Performs other duties as required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Effectively interface with vendors, customers, peers, staff and senior management.
Build and maintain positive working relationships across the organization as well as with external stakeholders Effective verbal and written communication skills Effective critical evaluation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills Effective emotional intelligence Effective corporate intelligence Cultural awareness and sensitivity Ability to be proactive, flexible, nimble and collaborative Ability to effectively manage time and work well under tight timelines Proficiency with the business tools common to the accounting profession WHAT YOU'LL BRING (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience) QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or a related subject or equivalent experience Three or more years of supervisory experience Three or more years’ of progressive experience with medical or behavioral health billing Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent project management skills Strong collaboration and relationship building skills, both within accounting and across all business units and with vendors and customers Ability to obtain successful outcomes by continuously striving to identify new and innovative ways of getting work done more efficiently and effectively Proficient in Microsoft Office PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Credible WHAT WE OFFER Competitive industry compensation and a generous benefit plan that includes: Medical, vision, prescription, dental and flexible spending account (FSA).
