Northwest Forklift, Inc.
is a locally owned and operated Material Handling Dealership looking for an energetic and flexible contributor to join our team as our Full Charge Bookkeeper.
Controller responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Supervise and/or perform various daily operations of accounting, administrative and human resource functions.
* Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable staff.
* Monitor cash flow on a daily basis, perform general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, month-end closing.
* Calculate commissions and incentives for sales staff and management.
* Perform numerous human resources functions including screening, evaluating administrative staff, maintaining personnel records, negotiate and manage employee insurance benefits and COBRA, and addressing L&I claims issues.
Also, chair the safety committee and facilitate the safety committee meetings.
* Analyze and negotiate our general liability insurance options and insurance audit on a yearly basis.
* Generate and submit state sales tax reporting on a monthly basis, city B&O taxes on a quarterly basis and personal property taxes on a yearly basis.
* Handle audits by our bank and other entities as necessary, monitor and assist with daily reconciliation of financing lines.
* Executive assistant functions as needed.
Qualifications
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Experience in managing a full general ledger.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
