Come join us and make the impossible, possible! *Overview:* Wyze is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our finance team.
The Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and integrity of our organization.
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing and enforcing financial controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of complete, accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with US GAAP.
* Financial Controls: Establish and maintain effective financial controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
* Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital to support the company's operational and strategic needs.
* Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
* Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, cost reduction initiatives, and revenue growth.
* Team Leadership: Manage and lead the accounting team, including accounting managers and staff.
Coach and develop team members.
* Business partnership: Proactively partner and engage with leaders, including providing education and guidance on the accounting treatment for business transactions under consideration.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification preferred.
* Proven experience in a senior financial management role, including experience as a Controller or Director of Finance.
* Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and regulatory compliance.
* Experience with financial systems and software, NetSuite ERP experience preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
