Our growing multi-family and commercial Property Management Company is looking for an experienced Payroll/Human Resource Specialist to help take us to the next level.
You will be working closely with the Payroll/Human Resources Manager.
The Payroll/Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for performing tasks related to payroll, recruiting, onboarding new hires, employee engagement, retention and will provide informational support to department managers and employees related to various human resource and payroll topics.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Payroll/Human Resource Specialist include, but is not limited to:
• Process bi-monthly payroll for 150+ employees accurately and timely
• Submit 401K contributions, submit HSA contributions
• Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for all payroll matters.
• Manage the time and attendance system and proper record keeping of all payroll records.
• Perform various audits and reports to ensure accurate payroll processing, garnishments, deductions, etc.
• Review processes and program for improvements to ensure it continuously supports the current need of the business
• Answers staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records.
• Receives and coordinates requests for leave and other absences.
• Handles changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles.
• Adheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant laws.
• Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
• Process garnishments, wage orders, and responds to various inquiries and audits
• Maintains strict confidentiality of employees' pay record
• Keep the company up to date on Labor Laws, FLSA etc

Requirements of the Human Resource/Payroll Specialist include:
• 2+ years proven experience processing Payroll preferred
• 2+ years in progressively responsible Human Resource roles
• 2+ years experience with a HRIS, preferably Paycom
