The Role Outreach.
io is seeking a talented, driven VP, Corporate Controller to own and evolve an innovative technology software company’s accounting, controls, financial statements, and related processes.
The Controller will drive continual improvement of the accounting processes and controls and seek to optimize our processes to drive profitable growth.
The ideal candidate is a strong business leader with robust accounting management & controller experience, built on excellent problem solving, and cross-group collaboration skills.
They will be a hands-on and results-oriented individual who has successfully built and/or transformed financial processes and reporting capabilities, ideally with a software subscription business model.
He/she will be a strong partner to the FP&A function as well as to the management team in driving profitable growth.
Primary responsibilities are supervising and reviewing daily financial accounting activities as well as partnering with Company leadership across the org to develop best practices and policies.
Focus areas include process improvements for efficiency and scalability and creating internal controls.
The role will oversee all fiscal activity for the Company, including accounting activities, budget variance reporting, cash management, order management, provisioning and payroll.
This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Location: This position is Seattle, WA preferred, although we’re open to remote with some travel to Seattle.
Your Daily Adventures Will Include Own the monthly and quarterly close processes with a focus on driving improvements (i.
e.
quality of output, efficiency & speed of producing) to enable optimal business decisions Support the business owners in licensing pricing and packaging implications for GAAP, revenue recognition and ability to achieve monetary outcomes Own the development and implementation of accounting policies Support the board of directors, quarterly board presentations, audit and compensation committee needs Help grow the business internationally, with multiple currencies, companies and tax requirements Establish and maintain an effective level of internal controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data Proactively managing the Company’s cash, including the planning and forecasting of weekly, monthly and annual cash flows Prepare and review the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Assist with formulating the financial objectives and policies of the company Lead annual audit process and manage relationship with external auditor Coordinate monthly, quarterly budget variance processes Owns procurement process which owns Procurement, Corporate Card, and Corporate Travel programs Is responsible for Order Management & Provisioning process working closely with Sales leaders and teams Works closely with Accounting leadership and HR teams to create Payroll and AP/Expenses policies and procedures that make sense for employees and cash management Our Vision Of You 10+ years of accounting and accounting management at a public company Experience supporting a high-growth SaaS business preferred Deep technical GAAP expertise, with experience in technology/software companies Proven track record of building new capabilities, with a process orientation Experience in managing and building high performing teams NetSuite, or similar cloud based accounting system Self-starter; driven to get things done Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and cross org influence to accomplish complex projects Strong communications skills, both written and oral A leader who is hands-on by nature and has an exceptional level of timeliness and accuracy in their work Unquestionable ethics that drive leadership and behavior BA/BS required Big 4 experience and CPA required The base salary range for this role is $175,000-$250,000.
You may also be offered incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
Actual compensation is based on factors such as the your skills, qualifications, and experience.
We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
