Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will maintain the general ledger, fixed assets and assist with financial statement preparation, annual budget, annual audit, cash management, grant invoicing, and accounts payable.
Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.
Your contribution to the team includes: Responsible for full cycle of monthly financial statement package including preparing, reviewing, analyzing and making recommendations to the Director of Finance.
Calculate and report on key financial statistics as determined by the Director of Finance.
Prepare and enter monthly journal entries.
Responsible for coordinating the distribution of site statements to all budget managers and providing supporting detail as needed.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements including researching general ledger transactions, reviewing and posting accounts payable, cash receipts and payroll.
Reconcile major general ledger accounts and make necessary adjustments monthly.
Review/post batches and journal entries presented by Staff Accountant and Accounting Specialist - AP.
Responsible for hiring, performance management, employee relations, recognition and training of Accounting Specialist and Accounts Payable Coordinator.
Provide back-up for Director of Finance for check runs and payroll approval when necessary.
Prepare grant invoicing and reconciliation to comply with grantor funding requirements.
Maintain related accounting files.
Assist with accounting projects as needed.
Assist Director of Finance in Annual Audit.
Maintain SAGE and provide training and support to other finance staff.
Research and report on discrepancies in General Ledger.
Provide support and training to managers.
Monitor cash flow and provide accurate and timely cash flow reports to Director of Finance.
Maintains good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.
Demonstrates respectful, professional and appropriate behavior that supports a team oriented work environment.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required.
Assume department supervisory duties in the absence of Director of Finance.
Must have's you'll need to be successful: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in accounting from a four-year college or university and three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated operating knowledge of computers.
Intermediate level ability with Word, Excel, Outlook and other required software programs.
Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start.
All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer.
Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required.
Hepatitis B.
is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products.
All immunizations are a condition of employment.
