_Bookkeeper_ *Overlake Christian Church* *Job Description* *Job Title:* Bookkeeper *Department:* Operations – Finance *Reports To:* Director of Operations *Supervised By*: Director of Operations *FLSA Status:* Non-exempt *Prepared Date:* January 2024 *SUMMARY* This position provides support to the Director of Operations and to the ministry staff.
The position will provide current and accurate financial records and data for financial reports as required or directed.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* · Process weekly offering, recording all activity into QuickBooks.
· Track all online gifts and reconcile to bank deposit.
· Daily tracking all bank accounts and recording into QuickBooks.
· Serve as a point contact for congregants and contributors regarding giving.
· Process contribution statements.
· Monthly billing for facility rental.
*QUALIFICATIONS* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
*Education and/or Experience* - High School Graduate, AA in accounting or bookkeeping.
Requires a minimum of three years bookkeeping experience , administrative assistant experience, or other office related experience.
*Abilities* - able to function independently, self-directed and motivated.
Ability to work with multiple people, projects etc.
, multi-tasked individual, systematic, quick, organizational and people skills a must.
This person needs to possess the ability to remain calm, peaceful and maintain a professional attitude.
*Reasoning Ability* – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
*Computer skills* - must have proficient computer skills.
Knowledge of Quickbooks, Outlook, MS Word, Excel.
Push Pay and CCB preferred.
