Job Description:
Interact with clients on a professional basis.
Work in various accounting programs with a focus in QuickBooks, and ability and willingness to learn new ones at a constant rate.
Ability to handle a company’s full circle accounting needs.
Prepare appropriate state and federal returns regarding payroll and income.
Working knowledge of appropriate classification for chart of accounts.
Perform self-review for accuracy.
Work on a project related basis.
Be flexible and proactive by requesting projects or identifying needs of the firm.
Contribute to new and expanding processes and procedures through working knowledge.
Contribute to the management of office organization.
Greet clients
Prepare mail, handle deliveries and special shipments and run occasional errands, as necessary.
Professional oral and written communication skills and excellent phone presence.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
OR
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, full-charge or equivalent
Must be a self-starter who is detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities.
Must have working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
Professional oral and written communication skills and excellent phone presence.
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Able to be flexible with rotating priorities and multiple due dates
Experience with ProFX Tax, Checkpoint and CCH Axcess a plus
Additional hours and Saturdays can be expected, primarily during deadlines.
Must be comfortable with multi-tasking, working with all firm staff to achieve a high-level of client service and firm objectives.
Attention to detail and ability to identify tasks and firm needs are critical.
