Viome is seeking a highly talented, extremely smart and effective Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Bellevue, WA.
In this position, you will be responsible for various accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, business taxes, audit, and related reporting and analysis.
You will develop, evaluate and improve accounting processes compliant with GAAP and applicable laws and regulations and manage the day to day completion of key accounting tasks in partnership with others in the accounting department.
The ideal candidate enjoys rolling up their sleeves, jumping into the financial weeds, has a very high focus to detail, and enjoys being a team player in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable working autonomously, flexible and adaptable, and highly motivated.
Responsibilities
Prepare the month-end close process and assist with generating accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Maintain the general ledger and prepare and/or review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliationsLease management and invoice issuance, and related AR tasks
Responsible for fixed asset activity and inventory management and control
Oversee business taxes including state and local taxes, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements and tax filings
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, controls, policies and principles
Assist with the development and improvement of accounting processes, systems, and infrastructure to scale with business growth
Administer the corporate credit card programAdminister employee expense reimbursement
Back up AP and cash accounts management and reconcile the accounts as needed
Other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA preferred
2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role; audit experience with a public accounting firm desired
Strong/Advanced level in Excel, and other MS Office tools
Strong industry experience in general ledger/financial reporting
Solid working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
System savvy; QuickBooks experience is required
Start-up and large scale company experience preferred; subscription-based industry experience a plus
$120,000 - $130,000 a year
