Tax Preparer/Staff Accountant

Small Kirkland public accounting firm seeking an experienced Tax Return Preparer/Staff Accountant.
Position is full-time during tax season and part-time (30 hours/week) for the remainder of the year.
This can be a remote or in-office position.
Potential for future full-time employment for the right candidate.

) Duties may include: * Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations in QuickBooks (desktop and online) * Post journal entries * Prepare and file city and state B&O returns * Preparing 1099s * Reviewing general ledger for accurate coding * Federal Income Tax return preparation (business and individual) * Other tasks as work flow requires Qualifications: * Minimum three years of experience in a public accounting firm required.
* Experience preparing 1099s and B&O returns preferred.
* Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and general ledger accounting.
* Tax preparation experience required.
* Knowledge of CCH Axcess Tax Software preferred.
* Previous experience in a paperless environment preferred.
* Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
* Position requires you to be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to multi-task.
* Should be a self-starter who is able to work independently and collaboratively on assigned tasks.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $35.
00 - $40.
