We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our consulting team, specifically to assist with the accounting needs for various clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks and will work closely with the principal consultant and client's finance team to ensure accurate financial records and efficient processes.
Primarily REMOTE work with periodic in person team meetings.
Responsibilities
- Performed daily journal entries, account & inventory, bank, and cash reconciliations, cycle count, and month and year end processes using NetSuite & Excel
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, applications and guidelines
- Assist with A/P with auditing, data and invoice entry, and setting up payments
- Assist with A/R with auditing, data and payment entry, and recording payments
- Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
- Work collaboratively across departments and maintain professional relationships with outside clients/auditors/vendors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ year professional Accounting experience
- NetSuite experience a huge plus
- Proficient in Google Suite
- An expert in Microsoft Excel
- Accuracy and attention to detail are a must
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong sense of IT, with an understanding of the controls necessary to safeguard financial and management information
- Must be proactive and not afraid to confront tough issues before they become a serious problem
