In this role you will join a Finance Department that takes great pride in being an active part of helping the City of Redmond staff serve the City of Redmond community.
Essential Functions: Process and pay all City invoices in accordance with City policyWork with suppliers, purchasing staff and other employees, including managers and supervisors, to resolve problemsReconcile supplier accounts on a monthly basisReview, maintain and audit information into automated financial systems, databases, or spreadsheetsPrepare correspondence and reportsTrack accounting activities and maintain filing systems, and perform other duties as assigned within the DivisionWho we are looking for: The right candidate will have a strong customer service background, entry-level accounting experience, and basic Microsoft Excel skills.
You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to answer customer questions, facilitate account transfers, handle complaints, and provide detailed information on our services, rates, policies, and procedures.
You have a proven ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, exhibiting resilience dealing with customers or challenging situations without getting flustered.
Your self-regulation and effective problem-solving skills will shine in this role.
You have high attention to detail and organization, which allows you to coordinate and process payment or bills accurately, efficiently, and on time.
