Tax Manager Job Type: Full-Time (Hybrid) Location: Renton, WA Salary Range: $110,000- $150,000 Annual Salary OBJECTIVE (POSITION SUMMARY) The Tax Manager plays a pivotal role in the organization by overseeing and managing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and strategy.
They are responsible for ensuring that the company and subsidiaries comply with all applicable tax laws, while identifying opportunities to minimize the organization's tax liability.
The incumbent exercises consistent and independent judgment and decision-making while leading and motivating the employees to meet consistent tax compliance reporting, tax preparation, GAAP standards, and tax regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS: In this position, the Tax Manager is responsible for: Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and filing of all tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, property tax, and other relevant taxes.
Staying current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the company's compliance.
Developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize the organization's tax liability while remaining in compliance with tax laws.
Identifying tax-saving opportunities, credits, and incentives.
Evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions for tax implications.
Preparing quarterly and annual tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements in accordance with ASC 740, Income Taxes.
Representing the company during tax audits and working with tax authorities to resolve issues or discrepancies.
Maintaining organized and accurate records and documentation to support tax positions.
Staying up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations and conducting research on complex tax issues to provide guidance to the organization.
Interpreting tax laws and communicating their implications to key stakeholders.
Assessing potential tax risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
Developing and maintaining tax policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance.
Utilizing tax software and technology to streamline tax processes and enhance efficiency.
Communicating tax strategies and implications to the senior management team and other relevant stakeholders.
Collaborating with external tax advisors and consultants when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
A Master's degree in Taxation or a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred.
7+ years of accounting experience, including experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience with Corporate income taxes and/or tax provisions.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, strong ethics, and business conduct.
Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Deeply understands how to apply U.

GAAP to General Ledger accounting.
Solid understanding of internal controls related to accounting and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Ability to execute effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress towards goals.
Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, emails, and instructions.
Work Schedule Full time schedule of minimum 8 hours per day with flexibility to complete all required job duties and responsibilities.
Work Environment: Usually moderate noise level.
Climate controlled office environment.
Physical Demands: Regular physical demands: Walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; use fingers for keyboarding; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
Language Skills: (if applicable) Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak clearly and effectively to both internal and external contacts.
Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, emails and instructions.
