*POSITION SUMMARY* We are seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to prepare 2 payrolls (1 simple, 1 complex) with accuracy and efficiency, assist with benefits administration, and issue regular payments to independent contractors.
This Admin will also be responsible for auditing payroll taxes, managing the HRIS, and running reports to help drive strategies and decisions that further the growth of the organization.
This position requires strong payroll processing knowledge and organizational skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Model company values in all actions, communications, and decision-making.
Including a genuine commitment to equity, inclusion, and compassion for those around you * Collaborate with FC Bookkeeper and Studio Managers + Co-Leads to meticulously compile payroll data that is verifiably accurate and monitored for insights into if/how payroll related policies are/are not being administered/practiced * Prepare payroll, including regular, special, and supplemental payrolls and partner with off-site Payroll Team to process bi-weekly payroll on time * Compute and summarize deductions such as insurance, retirement, reimbursements, and maintain source records and auditing tools * Interpret and set up garnishment orders, child support deductions, etc.
* Ensure accuracy of payroll data input and calculations, balance/tie out each payroll prior to check disbursement * Make arrangements for funds necessary to process each payroll, contractor payment, and/or any related payment * Maintain substantiated records - Google Drive, QuickBooks Online, HRIS, and all related paper hardcopies - for payroll and contractor A/P and update process documentation as appropriate * Process weekly payments to independent contractors with similar processes and attention to detail - from accurate data compilation through execution and continuous audit * Post all payroll and contractor payments in accounting software * Run helpful payroll and contractor payment related reports consistently for gleaning meaningful insights * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and labor laws * Manage the issuing of year-end payroll tax documents like W2’s and 1099’s * Collaborate with People Operations Team for sound administration of all benefits and retirement programs * Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned *QUALIFICATIONS* * 3-5 years of related experience required * Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
