Accounting Assistant

We are a hotel management office located in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle looking for a professional, dependable, detail oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team.
This person needs to be incredibly organized and a very independent and proactive problem solver.
Someone who will not hesitate to pick up the phone to call vendors or hotel management to help resolve issues.
About us! We assist hotel management staff with accounts payable, payroll, taxes and anything else we can.
We currently work with 17 hotels in Western Washington and one hotel in Hawaii.
We are growing fast and need an additional staff member.

Location: Applicants must be able to report for work at our Seattle office before the end of December.
After an initial training period it is possible to work remotely 2 days per week.

Accountant and management staff Review and record revenue.
Work with management staff to resolve any errors in reported revenue.
Assist in the preparation of excise taxes and other local and state tax filings.
Review invoices and check requests Resolve invoice discrepancies Reconcile bank statements.
Work with merchants and management staff to resolve any errors in credit card funding.
Prepare and process accounts payable payments Reconcile all balance accounts Required Skills: Strong written and spoken communication skills Ability to work independently Detail oriented Strong organizational skills Candidates must have 2 years experience working in an accounting role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
