The Opportunity: We are looking for a highly motivated Staff Tax Accountant with a positive attitude, inquisitive mind, and excellent interpersonal skills to support our ever-evolving business.
The Staff Tax Accountant will be an integral member of the TrueCar Tax team, supporting TrueCar's Finance & Accounting functions in a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment providing challenging opportunities and fostering professional development as you help shape the success of TrueCar.
How you will contribute to TrueCar's success: Prepare federal and state tax compliance work papers and assist with return preparation.
Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision work papers.
Compile monthly revenue transactions for outsourced sales tax returns.
Assist with non-income tax filings, including property, gross receipts, business taxes, and license renewals.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries and tax account reconciliations.
Other ad-hoc tax projects, as assigned.
Your Expertise: Experience in corporate tax matters related to expected contribution (public accounting, public company, or multi-state tax experience is a plus) Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills Capability to successfully operate independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines CPA license is a plus Familiarity with CCH Axcess Tax, OneSource Income Tax, Avalara, and/or Workday (financial module) is a plus Base salary: $60,000 - $100,000 Your TrueCar Experience As a crew member, you'll be primarily based out of your home as a part of our Dynamic Workplace strategy.
