Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior in Seattle, WA.
Work You’ll Do Work with the cross-functional team to implement new tax software products end-to-end in client’s system infrastructure and optimize the services provided by the software vendors.
Provide an integrated approach entailing planning, analysis, and synthesis of business needs to process improvement that can help the tax department maximize its strategic value to the organization.
Advise clients on the business impact of implementing a tax engine-enabled enterprise resource planning (ERP) system by conducting tax workshops to capture current process pinpoints and envision future state process.
Utilize tax technology applications experience to address a corporate tax function’s unique needs, requirements, and obligations and develop comprehensive solutions to ensure tax-critical financial information is captured and accessible in ERP systems.
Solve complex tax-related system issues as they arise with customized system solutions that are business scenario specific.
Present complex jurisdictional tax research findings to senior management and inform clients of tax software developments that affect their business, as well as help clients to interpret and integrate such tax considerations into their business strategy.
Plan strategically and analyze the testing result for User Acceptance Testing, Functional Unit Testing, Technical Unit Testing, Regression Testing, and Integration Testing for the new requirement designed and built in the new systems.
Produce training materials and provide end-user trainings to clients after the implementation is complete.
Requirements Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Taxation, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Eighteen months as Tax Senior or related occupation gaining experience integrating tax technology solutions to implement tax process automation.
Experience must include eighteen months of: Researching complex jurisdictional Tax laws to aid ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination system logic design; Assisting with solution efforts for digitizing direct and indirect tax workstreams in global ERP implementation projects including SAP S and 4HANA Implementations, in conjunction with SAP modules including MM (Goods Movement, Inventory Management, and Direct Procurement), SD (Sales and Distribution and Accounts Receivable), and FI( General Ledger and Accounts Payable); Producing training materials and providing end-user trainings and assistance to clients after the implementation is complete; Conducting interviews with clients’ tax departments to capture key details on existing pain points and present the clients with tailored assessment of different ERP vendor solutions; Designing and implementing a blend of direct and indirect tax solutions, advanced automation, and performing coding and data wrangling using tools including Alteryx, XML, Advanced Excel and Python to configure systems to ensure correct system behavior; Customizing SAP Fixed Asset configuration to support clients’ local country’s depreciation calculation requirements and reduce manual effort in the fixed assets reporting process; Developing mapping models for requirements after planning, analysis, and synthesis of business needs to baseline clients’ global direct and indirect tax design; Interpreting complex user requirements data and translating it into SAP ABAP programming codes for technical team to develop desired system functionalities; Performing tax engine system (ONESOURCE / Vertex) evaluation and integration, solution design, development, testing, and deployment services for clients in need of system upgrade and transformation and identifying and solving any issues related to standard functionality, custom applications, extensions, programs and interfaces; and Planning and analyzing the testing results for User Acceptance Testing, Functional Unit Testing, Technical Unit Testing, Regression Testing, and Integration Testing for system’s end-to-end functionality.
Position requires approximately 80% domestic and international travel.
Salary: $99,190.
