Darigold is seeking an Inventory Accountant to be a part of the operations finance team.
Reporting to the Manager - Cost Accounting, this opportunity will assist to improve our controls and processes, including valuation, policy creation and compliance, reconciliations of warehouse facilities, new warehouse setup, and supporting data integrity throughout all inventory locations.
This position will collaborate with warehouse and operational accounting personnel to ensure the appropriate tracking and management of our inventory.
What You Will Do: Own the inventory valuation and downgrade policies and methodologies, including identifying opportunities for improvement.
Ensure enterprise-wide compliance with established inventory polices, including verifying reviews over the accuracy of monthly inventory counts and inventory valuation journal.
Develop and enhance monthly reporting, trend analysis, and analytics on inventory balances, age, quality status, and other metrics throughout the Develop appropriate follow- up and disciplines to promote data integrity.
Manage new inventory warehouse setups in the Oracle Accounting system.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of all Darigold 3rd-party warehouses and manage a master schedule of responsibilities for all inventory reconciliations and periodically review supporting.
Partner with the 3rd-party logistics management team to ensure proper.
Collaborate with team to complete monthly inventory accounting journal entries.
Financial analysis as needed to support inventory- related.
Special projects and development activities in other Finance functions, as assigned.
What you will bring: Strong proficiency in enterprise resource systems (e.
g.
Oracle) Intermediate to advanced excel proficiency (creation of pivot tables, look up functions, visual basic, troubleshoot formula errors) Strong analytical skills Solution-oriented mindset Possess a high level of initiative and Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in all tasks Excellent ability to organize information, manages tasks and projects, and use available tools to effectively contribute to the organization.
Excellent oral and written communication Conveys information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.
