Duties and Responsibilities
Provides oversight and develops, plans and recommends practices and procedures for proper internal financial controls across the company
Establishes and maintains the accounting and reporting systems which guarantees the accurate presentation of financial results in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Prepares and issues internal and external financial reports in order to provide management, the Board of Directors, regulatory bodies and rating agencies with a precise review of the company’s financial position
Oversees all accounting operations including the invoicing, cash receipts and applications, all aspects of accounts payables, payroll, inventory control and fixed asset accounting
Works with the FP&A department to assist in the forecasting and budgeting process
Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local, payroll, property and sales tax reporting and compliance
Provides oversight of the foreign accounting operations for the foreign offices
Responsible for accounting and control of capital assets and inventories
Prepares reports which summarize company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expense, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations
Oversees the compliance and financial audits
Supervises the accounting team
Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor

Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
Strong organizational and management skills
Working knowledge in the SAP operating environment as well as a BI reporting tool
Past experience in manufacturing is beneficial with food manufacturing most helpful
Strategic thinking
Education/Experience Required
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance with a working knowledge of accounting systems, accounting operations, internal controls, and strong computer literacy.
CPA recommended but not required.
From eight (8) to ten (10) years' experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within the accounting function.
Supervisory experience is also required.
Salary Range DOE - $157,000 - 220,000
