You will be building new features on our React, React Native, and Flutter apps, building on rich APIs in Node.
js, Python, and some legacy Ruby on Rails, and interfacing with data from our computer vision and AI pipelines.
About you:
You craft solutions that balance the tradeoffs between product goals and technical solutions in React, Node.
js, Python, and Flutter.
You have the ability to be a driver and work with Product Managers and Designers to scope it, find a solution, and work with other engineers to implement and launch that solution.
You can proactively identify areas of friction, including interpersonal issues and technical debt, and encourage and enable the team to resolve it before it becomes a long-term problem.
Other engineers buy into your proposed solutions, even though they do not report to you.
You understand and articulate tradeoffs between different architecture approaches, as well as have a high degree of empathy for end users.
Our apps must be available and performant for multiple devices, connection speeds and user types.
You take initiative on projects without needing strict instructions, and explore new tools and processes to speed up development on the team.
You're able to design architecture and provide technical leadership to sprint teams within a start-up company environment, where challenges are common and clarity of communication is critical.

Qualifications
5+ years experience in a production software development environment
Experience working within an early/growth-stage startup team
Love working with Node.
js, React, Python, and/or Ruby
Experience as a tech lead for team based projects
