Embrace Learning Institute, a private specialty school and learning center is currently hiring for a Behavior & Educational Support Specialist in the Seattle/Greenlake area for students grade 6-12.
Excellent knowledge of working with students who are neurodivergent is mandatory.
Experience and enjoyment working with children who are neurodivergent including but not limited to: ADHD, Autism, and behaviors impacting their learning.
You will join our friendly and enthusiastic team of professionals who help make a positive impact on the lives of both our students and families.

Supportive team, family/work balance, year-round calendar and paid 5 weeks of breaks.
The right candidate will have *8-10 years experience* in group home, residential, with DD adults and older teens, at risk youth or a similar setting, experience with but not limited to aggressive and refusal behavior, physical aggression during escalations and love to find de-escalation techniques, positive reinforcements, must love video games, swimming and dogs (Pit Bull rescue friendly), community/ occupational skill work to help transition for high school to adulthood-LARGE TEEN MALE .
Our students frequently have autism, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, PDA and in some cases are profoundly gifted.
As students they struggle with emotional regulation when some of these struggles collide.
We are finding ways to work with them! Schedule: 12:30 PM- 5:30 PM M-F/ 10 hours a week for planning and prep Salary : $55k- $65k \*\*\*\*2:1 IN HOME PROGRAM\*\*\*\* Responsibilities: * Develop a comprehensive treatment & educational plan for each student.
* Use a range of sensory and behavioral strategies to engage the client and address their persistence, anxiety, self-harm, and aggression.
May use ABA or NON ABA depending on the needs of the student * Administer medication as appropriate.
* Help create & modify an individualized behavior & educational plan to address any behavioral issues the client experiences.
