Alex is a 15.
3 hand stocky Friesian/Thoroughbred cross gelding.
He has been ridden for pleasure on trails and in the arena.
He is happy hacking out in a group or alone with a confident rider.
He does not bolt or rear.
Occasionally, he will do a small buck due to excess energy.
Alex is bombproof; he is unafraid of passing cars/dirt bikes, barking dogs, gunshot sounds, vet needles, kids, and other animals.
On multiple occasions a deer jumped in the arena while riding, and he was unaffected.
He is more whoa than go and can be a bit pushy on the ground, particularly when food is involved, so is best suited for an intermediate rider.
The ideal home for Alex is one with a pasture setup or paddock/turnout.
He does not do well stalled.
He is in-your-pocket and incredibly smart, so is happiest with ample turnout, friends, and spending time with his humans because he can get bored.
He is good with other horses and an easy keeper.
His only maintenance is that he requires shoes (tender on gravel when barefoot).
