UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for ICU Nurse Residency/Transition to Practice.
This ICU Residency/Transition to Practice with the University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake’s four ICU Departments will commence May 20, 2024.
You must have an Active WA RN license no later than May 13, 2024 to be eligible .
We are conducting a training opportunity into the ICU area of nursing.
Listed below are the four hiring ICU Departments accepting applications for these opportunities:
Surgical ICU ~ This is a 14 bed unit.
Patient population includes direct recovery for ICU surgical cases and liver transplants.
Medical ICU .
This is a 24 bed unit.
Patient population on this unit includes medical ICU cases and Bone Marrow Transplant.
CCU ICU ~ 5SE is a 21-bed cardiac ICU caring for patients with advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, complex PCI's, STEMI's and other critical post-cath lab patients, as well as pre- and post-heart transplant patients.
Patients may have Impella and Balloon Pump devices and receive Hemodialysis.
Cardiothoracic ICU ~ This is a 24 bed unit.
Patient population includes cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, vascular, heart and lung transplant, MCS, VV, ECLS, and TAVR.
SCHEDULE
90% FTE.
Night and variable shifts.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates for this opportunity have at least two years of registered nursing experience in an acute care environment.
If nursing resident, must have ICU Senior Practicum experience, ICU Clinicals, or have worked in an ICU Department in another health care provider role, i.
e.
, PCT, MA, Health Unit Coordinator.
BLS and ACLS within six months of hire.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have Active Status Washington State nursing license, or obtain nursing license (if new graduate) on or before start date 5/13/2024.
