Job Title: Medical Support Services Director FLSA: Exempt
Compensation: $90,000-$125,000 per year
Supervisor: Chief Operations Officer

Community House has an outstanding opportunity for a Medical Support Services Director Our Medical Services Director will work as part of a team to provide outpatient mental health services and community support in recovery-oriented outpatient and residential services support setting.
They will oversee the daily operations of the medical staff in the outpatient clinic such as access, scheduling, patient flow, telephones, information systems, medical records and patient care to ensure maximum service to patients, as well as supervising a small team of RN and ARNP providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES Provide oversight, training, supervision, and ongoing reviews for all assigned programs and applications Function as main point of contact with in-house pharmacy, contracted primary care, external lab partner, BlueStep electronic medical record, King County medical groups, and other significant partners, including as primary personnel for reporting critical/extraordinary incidents as necessary Monitor billable activity and assist in maintaining enrollment and appropriate service delivery levels per program type and individual client needs Ensure medications are supplied, administered, monitored, and documented appropriately for all clients through trained staff Coordinate vendors for Electronic Health Records Provide regular supervision, direction, and documentation for assigned staff, including individual meetings, group staff meetings, chart reviews, training requirements, performance issues, etc.
Conduct interviews and hire staff in coordination with HR for open positions Collaborate with Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer to review budgets and monthly Revenue and Expense reports to monitor and align financials with expected spending and changes to income or trends Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure complete personnel files are maintained per agency, Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and contract requirements Formalize and maintain training materials for specific programs and requirements, including finding efficiencies in current processes related to lab orders, audits, use of electronic medical record, and account creation across platforms Maintain productive working relationships with internal department leads to always ensure efficient and seamless coordination of client care and business needs Provide immediate crisis intervention and resolution as needed Always maintain resident and staff confidentiality Providing or coordinating referrals to basic physical evaluation of clients, such as blood glucose monitoring, blood pressure readings, and other basic health screenings, referring as appropriate or indicated to outside clinics or specialists Overseeing and coordinating medication orders, supplies, refills, injections, administration records, chart reviews, and associated blood draws and lab monitoring Providing and assisting in coordinating medical discharge supplies and documents for clients leaving agency services Working with care team to coordinate medical services for hospital discharge for clients released back to the agency Participating in team and care coordination meetings Providing input as part of resident’s care team on service plan and progress, and collaborating with other providers such as primary care provider, case manager, etc.
Maintaining and documenting in client charts and other external systems, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Three or more years of experience in behavioral health services Experience with medication orders and administration Previous supervisory experience Successfully pass criminal background check before hire date Obtain and maintain valid First Aid/CPR card or certificate within 30 days of hire Hold a valid WA State license for 1 year with clean driving record to use agency vehicles Have legible handwriting and ability to do simple mathematics Able to navigate and comprehend charts in electronic medical record Able to work independently and within a team Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
