Microsoft is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Digital Security & Resilience (DSR) organization as we tackle complex business and engineering challenges using DevOps and the latest cloud technologies.

We are looking for a talented, insatiably curious Software Engineer with experience designing and building highly available, resilient, containerized cloud-hosted microservices.

Responsibilities • Build and ship the next generation of highly scalable, cloud native applications and large scale distributed microservices.
• Bring excellent software engineering habits and produce high quality code that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
• Collaborate with colleagues including product owners, UX designers, data scientists and other engineers to create delightful and meaningful experiences for our customers.
• Evangelize and/or propose new ideas while ‘bringing others along” with strong communications.
• Demonstrate a sense of pride, ownership, and personal accountability for the end-to-end product.
• Continuous learning and working closely with AI/Copilot and integrating with the latest technologies in Microsoft.
Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with CI/CD, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS.
• Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and more.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded, asynchronous programming patterns and solving complex problems, strong inclination for architecting at scale.
• Exposure to Agile software delivery; familiarity with the Application Lifecycle Management using Azure DevOps/VSTS.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.
S.
is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
