We’re looking for an amazing Manager, Onboard Revenue Analytics to fill this role.
This position can be based in our Seattle or Miami offices.
You’ll play a critical role in driving strategic and tactical decision-making processes to enhance guest experience and maximize business performance.
Your primary responsibilities encompass delivering both strategic and ad hoc reporting aimed at supporting onboard revenue and guest commerce.
This includes collaborating with data science experts, IT professionals, and business subject matter experts to design and implement standard reports and interactive dashboards that cater to the needs of both shoreside and shipboard teams.
Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line is looking for in its Manager, Onboard Revenue Analytics, Is this you? Responsibilities You are responsible for providing comprehensive reporting solutions that offer valuable insights into onboard revenue and guest commerce.
These insights are crucial for shaping strategies, optimizing operational efficiency, and achieving revenue targets.
Work closely with data science, IT, and business subject matter experts to create standard reports and interactive dashboards.
These tools will empower shoreside and shipboard teams with the data they need to excel in their roles, ultimately enhancing the guest experience.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the analytics function, striving for excellence and staying abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative analytics methodologies.
Collaborate closely with various teams and departments to ensure that data-driven decision-making is at the forefront of our cruise line's culture.
You will play a pivotal role in guiding the decision-making process, enabling us to seize opportunities and mitigate risks effectively.
Partner with the finance team to complete all monthly reporting, forecasting, and compliance requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance.
Your role is crucial in ensuring financial accuracy and integrity while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Oversee a team of business analysts, providing guidance, direction, and support in their day-to-day activities, professional development, and performance management.
You play a key role in nurturing talent and building a high-performing analytics team.
Requirements Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in business, computer science or related data analytic field 3-5 years working in an analytical role within an office environment.
Strong cruise operations experience and knowledge advantageous Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, or other similar platforms to create interactive and insightful dashboards for data representation.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is essential.
This may include knowledge of tools like SQL, Python, R, or proprietary analytics software.
To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of analytics, be comfortable working with large datasets and can present complex data in a concise and meaningful way.
Utilize your strong business acumen to assess and interpret financial data, including budgeting, financial statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Make data-driven recommendations to enhance financial performance The capacity to analyze complex problems, break them down into manageable parts, and develop effective solutions.
Encourage your team to think critically and solve issues collaboratively.
Clear and effective communication is vital for conveying ideas, expectations, and goals to your team and stakeholders.
This includes active listening, articulating thoughts, and providing constructive feedback.
