As Co-Manager, your mission is to bring The Evergreen Market to life for our customers.
In partnership with the Store Manager, the Co-Manager is accountable for developing leaders and employees who can successfully implement programs and provide premium customer experiences in order to drive business results.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Co-Manager, directly supports the Store Manager as the driver of total store sales, the customer experience, overall operational excellence and our high performance selling culture.
The Co-Manager has responsibility for the management of the store, including directing the work of direct reports and is responsible for the store's revenue, culture and employee engagement.
This new position will be second to the Store Manager, with a similar skillset.
They will act as a Store Manager when the official Store Manager is not present, making strategic decisions around priorities, staffing, customer service and operations.
They will serve as internal bench to Evergreen Market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Some Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manages all levels of store team and oversees the operations in partnership with and/or in the absence of the Store Manager.
Owns day-to-day operations and helps support an environment with engaged retail employees to deliver a best-in-class shopping experience for customers Is a partner to the Store Manager in tasks such as: staffing, onboarding, scheduling (labor), payroll, coaching & accountability of staff inventory, and de-escalation.
Manages employee performance by holding accountability, having difficult coaching conversations, and creating a culture of recognition for the right behaviors.
Handles more complex customer issues and complaints.
Plays a vital role in maintaining a vibrant store culture based on customer service, respect, continuous learning, process improvement, and safety.
Skills and Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age Minimum of five (5) years of retail management experience.
Self-starter who demonstrates professionalism, and can work independently.
Experience with retail operations, including but not limited to: customer service, people and leadership management, budgeting, planning, sales, and cash management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and retail business systems (POS).
Utilizes provided tools to support conflict resolution and employee coaching & counseling.
Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; Which could include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical requirements include the ability to (with or without accommodation): Lift, carry, push, and or pull up to 50 lbs.
Twist, bend, squat, reach, and climb a ladder.
Stand for extended periods of time.
