We are currently seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Director to work in our fine dining space as well as support our dining in the Briarwood Health Center.

You will enjoy being part of a great team in a fun, engaging work environment! Who you are: A minimum of three years' experience in the administration of food service systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate, understand, empathize with, and be tolerant of residents, patients, visitors, families, peers, subordinates, supervisors, and outside contacts.
Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Successful completion of recognized food safety course Post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
Senior living community experience preferred.
General Summary: The Director of Food and Beverage Services is responsible for the overall effective coordination of all restaurant and dietary services; selecting, training, and supervising all food services personnel; procuring supplies and equipment; assisting with budget preparation and operating within budgetary guidelines.
This person is a key member of the Timber Ridge at Talus community, adhering to policies and procedures and upholding the Community’s mission, philosophy, values and the company’s vision, principles, and Hospitality Promises Essential Job Duties: Develop and maintain a comprehensive, professional, and upscale culinary services program to create and maintain a positive experience for all customers.
Organizes, directs, and supervises all food service functions.
Maintains established food service standards and policies and assists the Dietitian in establishing and revising dietary policies and procedures.
Supervises department management personnel and oversees duties.
Interviews vendors and salespeople and purchases food and supplies, maintains quality assurance protocols for incoming food and supplies.
Operates within compliance expectations with CPS approved vendors.
Records department costs, maintains inventory system, and regularly checks storage areas for stock level of staple items.
Maintains applicable County food service licensing and ensures necessary compliance.
Maintains Liquor License and ensures community compliance with all service of alcohol.
Reviews and prepares independent living, assisted living and health center menus for distribution including processing dietary requirements and changes, and planning meals accordingly.
Directs duties of all department personnel, as required.
Plans and assists in preparation of special meals for community Marketing events, resident functions, and other parties, banquets, etc.
Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always.
Visits residents to evaluate food service such as quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance; and conducts evaluations to make revisions in operations/procedures to promote improved food service.
Supports creating a culture where the business decisions are made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
Always exemplifies Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization.
Oversees Supervisors with regards to selection, training, evaluation and disciplining of all food service personnel.
Delegates authority to supervisory staff for task details to facilitate smooth flow of materials and services.
Serves as Manager on Duty as assigned by supervisor.
