PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
As the #2 Leader overseeing all of the operating departments (Culinary, F&B & Rooms), this hands-on leader establishes policies considering all plans including business policies, revenue plans, revenue achievement proposals, training plans and the direction of business.
Also responsible for the overall operation including the management, supervision and administration of personnel.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Senior level experience in a luxury hotel F&B (70% of time) & Rooms (30% of time) management environment
Proven track record with 7+ years preferred in a luxury operational environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Computer skills of Excel, Profitsage, Unifocus, ADP, Outlook
Forbes Travel Guide Knowledge in a luxury hotel
Thrives in navigating highly ambiguous and complex environments
Proactive and results driven with a passion for innovation and customer value creation.
Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
Creative, effective leader and team player, possessing a high degree of professionalism, sound human resources management principles, communication, administrative skills and the ability to make sound and timely business decisions.
Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule: weekends, holidays, AM, PM, when needed.
The Hotel Manager assists the Managing Director with the direction of all aspects of the operation including rooms division and food & beverage division including but no limited to the following responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the operation of the hotel.
Participates in all Executive and Planning Committee meetings and events.
Reviews daily revenue report, the daily labor report and the monthly profit and loss statement, analyze results and take actions accordingly.
Must have knowledge to control capital expenditures managing guidelines and complete projects timely.
Conducts hotel tours and makes recommendations for changes as well as note deficiencies and ensure corrective action is taken.
Meet on a reoccurring manner with all managers, supervisor, and hourly team members
Responsible for operational service standards (Company Standards and Forbes Travel Guide)
Other tasks as assigned by Managing Director
