Provides consultation, coordination, and oversight activities to ensure appropriate requirements and best practices are incorporated during project pre-planning and construction phases.
Reports to: EHS Regional Manager and Project Manager for assigned project(s) *Job Classification and Hours: * * Salaried / Exempt Employee * Will be required to carry a cell phone and respond to emergencies during non-business hours.
* Salary $70,000 - $85,000 *Location:* * Based on one or more project sites.

*Qualifications and technical skills: * * Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or related field) or six (6) years’ work experience in commercial/industrial construction site safety.
* Requires strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local construction safety regulations as well as NFPA and applicable construction consensus standards.
* Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* A good balance of technical and managerial skills * Good analytical skills *Construction Projects*: * Assist Construction Project Team(s) in the review and development of safety, health, and environmental plans for construction projects; participate in pre-bid conferences, walk-throughs, and pre-construction meetings.
Develops and maintains regular interface with subcontractors and assist them with site reviews and planning to prevent injury and operational impacts.
Assist with investigation of serious incidents or near-misses with potentially serious consequences.
* Field Coordination and Reporting - Perform regular site assessments.
Assemble records of site observations, recommendations, and corrective actions for each worksite and project team.
Prepare summary reports as requested.
* Training - Develop, promote, and sustain safety related training.
Ability to provide training in the following areas: Fall Protection in Construction, Scaffolding, Respiratory Protection, Forklift User, Aerial Lift Users, Confined Space Entry, OSHA 10 & 30.
*Physical Demands*: * May be required to wear personal protective equipment, including occasional use of respiratory protection equipment (up to full face negative pressure respirator).
* Must be able to frequently walk up and down stairs, on uneven terrain, use ladders or enter confined spaces.
* Must be capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
